The Ins and Outs of Construction at Brazos Learning

The month of April has been full of tons of activity here at Brazos Learning, and we are excited to share our progress with the community! With the leaps and bounds being made across our campus, we are looking forward to opening our doors to your children in the Fall of 2021!

What’s Going On Inside

Inside the walls of our school, lots of progress is happening. The construction team has worked hard to make plenty of progress over the last few weeks to make our classrooms interactive, bright, beautiful, and colorful. Our goal is to create a dynamic learning environment for your children, providing them with an enriching learning experience. To do this, we’ve picked tons of dazzling colors, perfect for stimulating the senses and keeping children of all ages interested and alert.

Additionally, our facility is designed with natural lighting in mind. Studies have shown that children who spend more time outdoors and in naturally lit environments have more energy, respond positively to feedback, and show better learning retention, among plenty of other benefits. Therefore, we have plenty of windows to keep our classroom’s well-lit and let your little ones see the outside world, even if circumstances prohibit them from going outdoors.

Exploring the Great Outdoors

Naturally, no school would be complete without a playground. Our team is excited to announce the installation of our natural playground, focused on providing your children with interactive play equipment that allows them to get close to nature.

Spending time outside – meaning getting up, moving, and using your senses – is one of the keystones of Montessori education. Therefore, we’ve made it our mission to ensure that children have plenty of room to get up, move, and interact with their environment and experience nature.

The equipment on our playground is designed to help children, from a young age, develop finite motor skills, practice real-world concepts, and interact with nature using a variety of senses. Appealingly bright colors attract their attention, mimicking the colors of the world around them. They’re encouraged to practice working with numbers, experimenting with sounds, and discovering textures that can only be found outside.

Wrapping Up

As the month comes to an end and May begins, we will have plenty of exciting updates to share with families. We encourage you and your family to keep an eye on our blog, website, and social media pages as we begin moving furniture in and gearing up for the fall semester.

We look forward to seeing you soon!
